YOUNGER ART
Be inspired by some up-front inspection of great art. Using the works on display at the Dubbo Regional Gallery – The Armati Bequest, students will reproduce them in their own images, using a variety of media. This workshop gives students the chance to interpret art in a very hands-on fashion. Also includes a tour of the gallery, professional instruction by a local artist, and all materials.

IT'S MINE
Students take on the role of corporate art buyers in this fun workshop where students get to understand the relationships between the artist, the world and the audience. Each corporation has very firm ideas on what art they are interested in, and students must assess the art on show and then bid against others to get the works they want. A fun and engaging way of getting students to look into artworks from a variety of viewpoints.

MY OWN PRIVATE GALLERY
Students take on the role of commercial gallery owners, each with a very particular clientele. Using the art on show at Dubbo Regional Gallery – The Armati Bequest, students will choose the works for their galleries. They must then guide others around their gallery and try to match the expectations of their audience. A great way to play around with meaning, value and frames.

I HEAR WHAT YOU SEE
Students get the chance to jump into the world of new media and audio art in this fantastic hands-on workshop. Armed with digital recorders and microphones, students will gather ‘found audio’ that relates to an exhibition in the Gallery. They then get the chance to alter and mix their audio into a soundscape, and then play it in the gallery. They can even take their soundscape back to school with them. A great introduction to new media, as well as another way for students to think about art.
