PERSPECTIVES.ART.ECOLOGY.

Perspectives.Art.Ecology. is an exhibition produced as the result of several months of intensive collaboration between artists and people from the local and regional communities of Central NSW.  The project was initiated through a curatorial framework where Ecology was proposed to artists with an open and unlimited agenda.

The proposal began with a series of meetings, productive discussions and regional field trips which encouraged the artist’s creative and critical engagement in discussions about their environment – the history, contemporary challenges and future responsibility of the place they share.

Since the very first meeting in November 2008, the artists; Kim Goldsmith, Gail Naden, Peter E. Charuk and I have with a great passion engaged in a conversation about a particular environment - the landscape of the Western Plains of NSW.

The exhibition Perspectives.Art.Ecology. resulted from these conversations.
